The leadership of Lviv regional state administration and representatives of Germany's Allmineral, which recycles waste from coal companies and coal processors, have agreed joint steps to carry out an investment project to recycle slag from coal companies.
The press service of Lviv regional state administration reported on Wednesday that the project foresees raising UAH 250 million in investment for eliminating threats to the environment and pollution caused by the accumulation of non-recycled waste from coal companies.
The press service said that the realization of the project would help settle an acute environmental problem in the region caused by the accumulation of a large amount of non-recycled slag from coal mines (over 42 million cubic meters of slag have has built up in slag heaps in Lviv region).
