Ukrainian agricultural companies as of March 15, 2013 had attracted UAH 2.8 billion for the spring sowing campaign, according to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food.
According to the report, the sum accounts for 37% of the required credits.
According to the ministry, interest rates on these loans are 15-25%.
The ministry also noted that, given ending stocks, farmers are 109% provided with mineral fertilizers, which corresponds to 1.057 million tonnes and exceeds last year's figure by 20%.
In addition, farmers as of the date had bought 23,300 tonnes of crop protection agents (80% of the applications), which is 14% up from 2012.
As reported, with reference to the ministry, farmers are 102% provided with the seeds of grains and leguminous crops (excluding maize) for the 2013 spring sowing campaign (726,200 tonnes).
