Fares on Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways local trains to rise by 27% from May 28

Fares for passenger transportation on local trains of Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways (South-Western railways) from May 28 will grow on average by 27% (depending on the route), according to the press service of State Railways Administration Ukrzaliznytsia.

"The new tariffs have been agreed with local authorities according to the current legislation of Ukraine," the press serviced said.

Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways advises buying tickets at stations, as if passengers buy tickets on the train a commission fee of UAH 1 is charged.

In addition, to save time and money the railways proposes that passengers buy season tickets, the price of which depends on the route.

Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways transports passengers on short-distance routes in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, Chernihiv regions and parts of Rivne, Chernivtsi, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Ternopil regions.
