The Transport and Communications Ministry of Ukraine is viewing projects for the construction of two container terminals in Illichivsk maritime merchant port (Odesa region) and one terminal at the Karantynny water break in the water territory of Odesa maritime merchant port, according to the ministry's press service, referring to Ihor Urbansky, the deputy transport and communications minister.
It is planned to construct a terminal worth $560 million with a capacity of 800,000 TEU and a terminal worth $860 million with a capacity of 1.2 million TEU a year in Illichivsk port. The forecast cost of the terminal in Odesa is $500 million.
