The daily ticket sales of Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways (South-Western railways) have fallen by 10% compared to November 2007, Oleksandr Tolkachev, the deputy head of the railways, said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
Booking offices have seen the most significant fall in ticket sales, according to Olga Levchuk, the head of the Ukrainian Center for Serving Passengers of Railways Transport.
"In November 2007, we sold 400,000 tickets, and this year we will reach a figure of 350,000 tickets," she said.
She also noted a significant fall in group and excursion ticket bookings for the period of the New Year and Christmas holidays.
