Ukraine hasn't received any official confirmation of the Russian Gazprom's plans to appeal to the international court over Kyiv gas debt, Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Prodan has said.
"Today, the information has been circulated that there will be court proceedings. However, we have received no official materials," the energy minister told reporters in Kyiv on Monday.
As reported, Gazprom First Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said that Gazprom has drafted an appeal to the international court over Ukraine's gas debt. He said Gazprom had relevant mechanisms and documents for applying to the international court and "would certainly use them if Kyiv continued to refuse to pay the debt."
