Ukrainian importers, exporters and logistics operators have evaluated the work of Ukrainian customs agencies in the first half of 2012 in terms of efficiency, transparency and export/import promotion and assigned them 3.97 out of five.
As the European Business Association (EBA) said in a statement, such results were seen in an independent survey of 79 representatives from EBA member companies.
"The results of the customs index in the first half of 2012 have showed the first symptoms of an improvement in quality, speed and ease of customs clearance in Ukraine. This positive trend definitely gives hope for a further improvement in our country's customs system and liberalization of conditions for doing business," the statement quotes EBA Executive Director Anna Derevyanko.
