Auchan Ukraine is considering Poltava as a potential destination for network expansion, All Retail reported following a regional event at the Local Ukraine national farmers’ forum held on April 28.
"Poltava region is a powerful agricultural region with a strong base of small and medium-sized producers, which opens up great potential for the country. Especially when government, business, and producers work together, decisions are made that foster the development of producers, and therefore, the country’s economy," Alla Kovalevska, Commercial Director of Auchan Ukraine, is quoted as saying in the statement.
According to her, the company consciously focuses on local producers.
As Yulia Holubkova, Deputy Commercial Director of Auchan Ukraine, noted, partnerships with local producers include private labels, farm projects, and support for veteran businesses.
