Consumption of metal structures in Ukraine increased by 19% in 2025 - Ukrainian Center for Steel Construction
The market for building metal structures grew by 19% in 2025, reaching 108,000 tonnes, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Center for Steel Construction (UCSS).
"After a sharp decline in demand for metal structures in 2022, we are seeing a steady increase in consumption of 15-20% annually. However, we are still far from reaching the 2021 figures, when the steel structure market reached 154,000 tonnes," said Andriy Ozeychuk, director of the construction company Rauta and chairman of the board of directors of the UCSS, describing the state of the industry.
According to UCSS experts, the volume of metal structure imports increased 2.4-fold, while the domestic market grew by 3%. Metal structures were actively used in projects to restore and protect critical infrastructure facilities and construct industrial and logistics buildings.
According to industry experts, the steel construction market could grow by approximately 9% in 2026, reaching approximately 117,000 tonnes by the end of the year.
The UCSS unites the largest players in the national steel construction market. It currently includes more than 60 specialized companies.
