Nova Post introduces parcel delivery via myflexbox parcel lockers in Austria

Nova Post, part of the NOVA Group, is beginning to deliver parcels to myflexbox parcel lockers in Austria. The initial phase will begin in Vienna, with plans to expand the service nationwide, the company announced Tuesday.

According to a Nova Post press release, the company's customers will now be able to receive parcels weighing up to 30 kg without being tied to a courier via one of more than 200 parcel terminals in Vienna.

Nova Post clarified that automated service points are available 24/7 and are located at gas stations, near or inside shopping centers and stores, at train stations, in residential complexes, and elsewhere.

The company noted that it plans to launch more than 550 partner parcel terminals by the end of the year, particularly in the cities of Graz, Linz, Salzburg, and Innsbruck.

"The partnership with myflexbox is an important step in scaling our presence in Austria, combining their smart infrastructure with our own fleet. Customers will be able to not only receive parcels but also make deliveries," Vladyslav Marunkov, CEO of Nova Post in Austria, was quoted as saying in the release.

It is noted that the partnership between the two companies is part of the development of urban logistics in Europe.
