Ukrnafta and Ukrgazvydobuvannia start joint well drilling
PJSC Ukrnafta and JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia have completed their first joint gas well drilling project at a Ukrnafta facility, initiated as part of their collaboration to more efficiently use resources and accelerate production, announced Serhiy Koretsky, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy.
"We are strengthening synergies between Naftogaz Group companies. Ukrnafta and Ukrgazvydobuvannia have completed their first joint gas well drilling project at one of Ukrnafta's fields. The well's depth is 5,681 meters," he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
According to Koretsky, a total of eight new wells are planned for 2026 in this collaboration.
"Ukrgazvydobuvannia provided its own drilling rigs. Ukrnafta will be responsible for the well's continued operation," explained the head of Naftogaz.
He emphasized that supporting its own gas production is one of Naftogaz key priorities amid constant enemy shelling, and that synergies between the companies allow for more efficient use of resources and accelerated implementation of projects that yield concrete results.
Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil producer, operates the largest national network of filling stations, UKRNAFTA. In 2024, the company assumed management of Glusco's assets. The company is implementing a comprehensive program to restore operations and update the format of its filling stations. Since February 2023, it has issued its own fuel coupons and cards, the NAFTAKarta, sold to legal entities and individuals through Ukrnafta-Postach LLC.
