ZNPP once again cut off from Ukrainian Unified Energy System, switched to diesel generators – Energy Ministry

The Russian-occupied Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has once again been left without external power supply from the Ukrainian Unified Energy System, having lost contact with one of the power lines it had been connected to for the past few weeks, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported.

"As a result of a power line outage, the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant lost its external power supply. The plant switched to diesel generators. The cause of the outage is under investigation,” it said.

As the Ministry of Energy noted, this is the 13th complete power outage at the plant since the start of the full-scale war.

As reported, on March 24, the Russian-occupied Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant once again lost contact with one of its two power lines, the 750 kV Dniprovska line, leaving it with only the backup 330 kV Ferosplavna-1 line, which was restored less than three weeks ago.
