Volume of customs benefits granted in March increased by 32%, with defense goods leading the way – Customs Service
The volume of customs duty exemptions for imported goods in March 2026 amounted to UAH 33 billion, which is 32.2% (or UAH 8 billion) more than in March of last year, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reported on its Telegram channel on Wednesday.
According to the report, the amount of preferences provided amounted to 41.7% of the total volume of customs payments transferred to the state budget for the month (UAH 79 billion).
Defense goods accounted for the largest share of the benefits granted, accounting for 47.4% of the total (UAH 15.6 billion). Excisable goods for tobacco production in Ukraine accounted for 23.9% of the benefits (UAH 7.9 billion).
Furthermore, import duty exemptions under free trade agreements amounted to 12.3% (UAH 4 billion), while benefits for goods used to restore energy infrastructure amounted to 10.4% (UAH 3.4 billion). Other benefits provided by law amounted to 6.1% (UAH 2 billion).
In total, the volume of customs preferences for imports reached UAH 104.3 billion in the first quarter of 2026. This is 58.8% (UAH 38.6 billion) higher than the same period last year.
