Ukraine reduces flour exports by 3% in first nine months of 2025/26 MY, while imports grow by 21%

Ukraine exported 48,300 tonnes of wheat flour in July-March of the 2025-2026 marketing year (MY), which is 3% less than the same period last season, when supplies amounted to 49,800 tonnes, the Millers of Ukraine Association reported on Facebook.

The industry association noted that approximately 35% of the export structure went to EU countries, although in the previous season the European market share was significantly higher and reached 44%.

The TOP-5 consumers of Ukrainian flour for the first nine months of 2025/26 MY includes Moldova, which imported 14,900 tonnes, Palestine – 9,200 tonnes, the Czech Republic – 7,400 tonnes, Israel – 4,400 tonnnes, and Spain – 4,200 tonnes.

Millers of Ukraine also reported an increase in wheat flour imports into Ukraine. During the reporting period, nearly 2,300 tonnes of the product were purchased on foreign markets, a 21% increase compared to the same period last year, when 1,900 tonnes were imported.
