Special Transport Service to be responsible for repairing frontline roads – Svyrydenko
The State Special Transport Service will be responsible for restoring roads in frontline areas and within 40 km of the combat line, announced Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"The government has made a corresponding decision that will allow work to begin immediately in priority areas—where troops are moving, the wounded are being evacuated, and supplies are being provided," Svyrydenko wrote on her Telegram channel.
In particular, the government designated the State Special Transport Service as the sole contractor for work and procurement for routine repairs and maintenance of roads in and around the combat zone.
According to her, the list and priorities will be determined by the General Staff, and work will immediately begin after the list is approved and the damage is surveyed.
