DTEK Energy engineers manufacture shearer for Heroes of Space mine

DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers have manufactured a new UKD200-500 shearer, which was delivered to the Heroes of Space mine, the Corum Group mechanical engineering company announced on Facebook.

According to the company, the combine weighs 15 tonnes, has 250 kW of power per cutting unit, and has a productivity of up to 360 tonnes per hour and a feed speed of up to 6 meters per minute.

The note says that this is already the seventh combine harvester of this series at the enterprise.

Corum Group also announced that its machine builders have manufactured and shipped a scraper conveyor for miners, which will soon be in operation in the longwall.

"Powerful, durable, designed for heavy loads: 480-600 tonnes per hour, up to 300 meters in delivery, up to 2 million tonnes of operating life," the message reads.

Corum Group is a leading manufacturer of mining equipment in Ukraine. It is part of DTEK Energy, the operating company responsible for coal mining and coal-fired power generation within Rinat Akhmetov's DTEK energy holding company.

DTEK Energy's machine-building assets include the Druzhkivka Machine-Building Plant (relocated to Dnipro), the JSC Kharkiv Svitlo Shakhtaria plant, and the Pershotravnevy Repair and Mechanical Plant.
