The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) has placed on the agenda of its next meeting on April 7, 2026, the issue of price caps on the electricity market.

This is evidenced by the agenda published on the regulator’s website.

"In view of the current situation and appeals from market participants, NEURC has put on the agenda of the commission’s next meeting (April 7, 2026) the issue of launching a procedure to review electricity price caps," NEURC said on Facebook on Friday evening.

The regulator clarified that this concerns the consideration and discussion of the relevant issue, while the final decision will be adopted after taking into account comments and recommendations from all interested parties and market participants.

"The relevant decisions will be made taking into account the need to ensure a balance between the interests of consumers and producers, as well as the stable operation of the power system," the regulator said.

At the same time, the draft resolution on price caps specifies the same levels that are currently in effect.
