Targeted support payments of UAH 1,500 for pensioners and vulnerable categories begin – PM
Targeted support payments of UAH 1,500 for pensioners and vulnerable categories have begun, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has announced.
"Starting today, April 1, payments of UAH 1,500 will begin as part of the targeted support program for pensioners and vulnerable categories. It will be received by age-based pensioners, people with disabilities, low-income families, recipients of basic social assistance, internally displaced persons among recipients of social benefits, large families, and single mothers," Svyrydenko wrote on her Telegram channel.
She reminded that if a person belongs to several categories of recipients at the same time, the payment will be made only once.
It is noted that funds will be credited once during April to bank accounts or via Ukrposhta, and no additional applications or appeals are required.
"The program is designed to support those who, given their income level, feel the impact of rising global fuel prices. This affects the cost of vital products and services," the Prime Minister added.
As reported, the payment is expected to cover 13 million citizens.
