OKKO installs all 25 turbines at 147 MW wind farm in Volyn, already generates electricity from 18 — Deputy Head of Presidential Office
As of March 2026, all 25 turbines of the wind farm in the Ivanychivska community in Volyn have been fully installed, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Viktor Mykyta said on Telegram Thursday.
"Eighteen wind turbines are already generating electricity within the allocated load volumes, while commissioning work continues on seven more," he wrote after a visit to the site.
According to him, an investment of over UAH 12 billion enabled Volyn region to become the leader among the country's regions in 2025 in terms of connected wind power capacity. The project provides for the installation of 25 wind turbines with a design capacity of 147 MW.
"Several regions of Ukraine are now simultaneously implementing large-scale wind power development projects. The experience of our communities is unique and unprecedented," Mykyta emphasized.
As previously reported, citing Rada Energy Committee Chairman Andriy Gerus in early February, the OKKO group of companies launched 90 MW of the wind farm in Volyn.
According to him, commissioning of an additional 60 MW was planned for February.
In April 2025, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced that the EBRD, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Black Sea Trade and Development Bank would provide the Galnaftogaz concern with EUR 157 million in credit for a 147 MW wind power station in Volyn region.
