The National Bank in late October lowered its forecast for real GDP growth in the fourth quarter of this year to 3.4% from 3.5% in July, and overall worsened its forecast for Ukrainian economic growth last year to 1.9% from 2.1% due to energy shortages, destruction of gas production facilities and labor shortages.

Meanwhile, the Economy Ministry in mid-January estimated GDP growth last year at 2.2%.
