Foxtrot household appliances retailer plans to open 10 new stores in 2026, develop new format – CEO

The nationwide household appliances and electronics retailer Foxtrot plans to open 10 new stores in 2026, according to the company's CEO Yuriy Polischuk.

"When opening new stores we consider absolutely all locations that meet our requirements. But due to the war our opportunities are currently limited, so we are focusing more on organic development. Therefore we plan to open about 10 stores," he said in an interview with the Retail Association of Ukraine.

Last year, Foxtrot opened five new and five renovated stores, and the company will continue updating existing locations this year. Polischuk also announced plans to develop a new store format.

"It will still be Foxtrot, but with a different floor area, a different design, and an adjusted assortment — changes in the market are pushing us to change as well," he said.

Among the key tasks for the year is the development of a new strategy, since six years have passed since the previous one was adopted and much has changed during that time.

"We are preparing a strategy for several years ahead that will involve revising all areas of the company's operations: marketing, assortment, e-commerce, the use of innovative tools and AI, operational efficiency, logistics, absolutely everything… We will experiment and, to some extent, take risks," the CEO said.

Foxtrot is one of Ukraine's largest omnichannel retail networks in terms of store count and electronics and household appliances sales. As of early 2026, the company operates 127 stores in 67 cities, the online platform Foxtrot.ua, and its mobile app of the same name.

The omnichannel retailer was founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs Hennadiy Vykhodtsev and Valeriy Makovetsky.
