Broker House to promote flour on global markets to be established in Ukraine
The public association Flour Millers of Ukraine plans to establish a Broker House to assemble large export batches of flour and grain-processing products, market them, and promote these products on global markets, the association's press service reported following a meeting of its Board of Directors.
"The goal of this project is to market and promote products on global markets, increase annual export volumes, and ensure logistics. The main objective is to process importers' requests and form appropriate product batches, since there are requests for large volumes that a single enterprise cannot fulfill on its own," said Union Director Rodion Rybchynsky, as quoted in the statement.
He emphasized that by the end of 2025 the industry had achieved a strategic result: after lengthy negotiations involving Ukraine's Trade Representative Taras Kachka, the European Union decided to allocate a separate tariff quota for Ukrainian flour exports totaling 30,000 tonnes.
Currently, with SIPPO's support, the union is conducting a comprehensive study of the quality of Ukrainian wheat and flour. Doctor of Technical Sciences Dmytro Zhyhunov presented the results of an analysis of 14,000 wheat samples and 200 flour samples based on physical-chemical and functional-technological indicators. According to Rybchynsky, these data will help strengthen communication in global markets regarding the quality and safety of Ukrainian products.
