Ukraine’s GDP growth accelerates to 3% in Q4-2025 – statistics
Ukraine’s real gross domestic product grew 3.0% in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared with the same period a year earlier, up from 2.1% in the third quarter, 0.7% in the second quarter and 0.8% in the first quarter, the State Statistics Service said Wednesday.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, seasonally adjusted real GDP rose 0.7%, compared with 0.8% in the previous quarter, the agency said.
As reported, the National Bank of Ukraine in late October downgraded its forecast for real GDP growth in the fourth quarter to 3.4% from 3.5% projected in July and overall lowered its estimate for economic growth last year to 1.9% from 2.1%, citing energy shortages, destruction of gas production facilities and a labor shortage.
In late January, the central bank also cut its forecast for overall GDP growth in 2025 to 1.8% from 1.9%.
At the same time, the Economy Ministry in mid-January estimated GDP growth last year at 2.2%.
The State Statistics Service has not yet published its estimate for full-year GDP growth in 2025.
