Ukraine's agricultural exports fall 0.8% in Jan 2026 amid decline in oilseed shipments – UCAB

In January 2026, Ukraine exported 5 million tonnes of agricultural and food products, which was 0.8% less than in the previous month, the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB) reported.

According to analysts, during the first month of the year growth in export volumes was recorded only in the grain segment, while all other product categories saw a decline. Corn remains the main export commodity.

In the structure of agricultural exports in January 2026, according to experts, grain crops increased by 13% month-on-month to 3.4 million tonnes (corn accounting for 83% and wheat for 16%); oilseeds fell by 32% to 351,700 tonnes (soybeans 63%, rapeseed 35%, and sunflower seeds 1%); vegetable oils declined by 6% to 479,700 tonnes (sunflower oil 82%, rapeseed oil 10%, and soybean oil 7%); oilseed meals after vegetable oil extraction dropped by 32% to 411,000 tonnes (sunflower meal 73%, soybean meal 27%); and other types of agricultural products decreased by 15% to 349,900 tonnes.
