The State Tax Service of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2012 scheduled document checks at 1,700 companies, the press service of the State Tax Service reported on July 10, 2012.
According to the report, the schedule of checks for July-September includes 300 companies less than in the previous quarter.
State Tax Service experts say that the figures were less due to the improvement of the procedure for check scheduling.
"Today the tax body is focusing only on risky companies. This allowed it to include no more than 2,000 companies in quarterly checks, and in the third quarter to reduce their number to 1,700," reads the press release.
The press release says that in 2012, no more than 8,000 companies in Ukraine will be checked under a schedule.
