Konkov, Platini to discuss situation with Crimean clubs - source

President of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) Anatoliy Konkov is to have a private meeting with UEFA President Michel Platini on the situation with Crimean clubs during his working visit to Monaco, an informed source has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Earlier, the FFU noted that it had not received any concrete position from UEFA on this issue.

The FFU's press service reported on Wednesday that Konkov and FFU Executive Director Maksym Bondarev had left on a working visit to Monaco to attend an organizational meeting before the start of the 2014/2015 season.

As reported, on August 22, the UEFA Emergency Panel decided that any football matches played by Crimean clubs organized under the auspices of the Russian Football Union (RFS) will not be recognized by UEFA "until further notice."

The UEFA Emergency Panel also requested that the UEFA administration, together with FIFA, "facilitate discussions with the representatives of the RFS and the FFU in order to find a common solution to this situation."
