FC Metalist president Kurchenko to meet with players soon, venue not determined

President of FC Metalist Kharkiv Serhiy Kurchenko has said that the club has no problems with financing.

"The club currently has no problems with financing. Players get their salaries on time and in full," reads a statement posted on the personal Web site of the businessman.

"Now we are working within the budget approved for the 2014-2015 calendar year, and a new budget will be formed next year," he added.

Kurchenko also said that the goal of the club was still to win the Ukrainian Premier League and added that special attention would be paid to the development of young players.

He also said that Jose Ernesto Sosa, Jonathan Cristaldo and Alejandro Gomez, who expressed their unwillingness to return to the club, had no reason to leave.

"Our position is unambiguous - the players have to return to the club. They have no reason to leave, and UEFA has confirmed it. Now we continue to negotiate with the players and their agents. Of course, they will answer for their move and they will be sanctioned according to their contracts," Kurchenko said.

He also promised to meet with the team soon.

"[We will] certainly [meet], but we are still thinking about a particular time and place," Kurchenko said.

As reported, businessman Serhiy Kurchenko was placed on the international wanted list.
