Storozhenko: FFU may impose sanctions on Dynamo for refusing to give post-match interviews to Football channel

The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) may impose sanctions on FC Dynamo Kyiv for refusing to give post-match interviews to the Football television channel, the official broadcaster of Ukrainian Premier League matches.

"I hope that this is some kind of emotional response, and I don't think that the club's senior management can resort to such a violation and such disrespect, by the way, for the entire football community. The official broadcaster does not work for itself. It works for the audience. It works for those who want to know what happened in this match, and what the head coach and players think after the match. This is an issue that was completely resolved by the regulations - 60 seconds. I don't think that world football star Oleh Blokhin is acting on his own: someone suggested that they can act like this, but it's wrong. I think that this will change," FFU First Vice President Serhiy Storozhenko said in an interview with the channel.

"There cannot be such disregard for the regulations, as FC Dynamo Kyiv has always been an example to all. If such a club as Dynamo can afford to ignore the regulations – then what can we say about the others? This cannot be so, and I don't believe it. Such a lack of respect cannot exist in football. It's possible not to respect the broadcaster, and I can agree with it, but it's impossible not to comply with the regulations," he said.

After the match of the 25th round of the Ukrainian Premier League between Zoria and Dynamo (0-5) on Saturday, Dynamo coach Oleh Blokhin and players refused to give post-match comments to the Football channel.

"The club's senior management has banned us from communicating with the Football television channel," Blokhin said.
