On December 13-17, 2016, the squash court of Kyiv-based Sport Life Squash Arena Teremky will host an international squash tournament, PARETI Squash Open 2016, for the second time. The tournament will be held under the auspices of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and with the support of the Squash Federation of Ukraine. Among the international stars who will come to Kyiv are Carlos Cornes Ribadas (Spain) and Reiko Peter (Switzerland), who are among the top 100 professional squash players. Other participants will be George Parker (England), Ben Grindrod (New Zealand), Jami Aijanen (Finland), Ondrej Uherka (the Czech Republic), Elliot Selby (England), Robert Dadds (England), Miko Aijanen (Finland), and other players. In total, about 200 players are to participate in PARETI Squash Open 2016; they will play both in the professional and amateur categories of the tournament. Carlos Cornes Ribadas, who is to participate in the tournament, is No. 2 of Spain's national team, he is the winner of numerous PSA tournaments. Not long ago, he defeated last year's PARETI Squash Open 2015 winner, French player Christopher Andres in France. So there is no doubt that the Spaniard is going to Kyiv to win his next trophy. He will be competing with Swiss No. 2 Reiko Peter, who is considered to be one of the main contenders for victory at PARETI Squash Open 2016, and with George Parker from England, a young rising star of European squash, who will try to challenge more distinguished competitors. What is more, young squash player from New Zealand Ben Grindrod will participate in the championship. At 22, his progress is rapid, he is in good shape and may even compete for the first place. Other squash players from England, Egypt, Finland, Ukraine, Germany and other countries are also set to win their trophy – ranking points and prize money of the tournament. Director of the tournament Maksim Urakin and the organizers of PARETI Squash Open 2016 have done their utmost to end the squash year in Ukraine at its best moment.
