In November 2016, Maternity Hospital LELEKA, most modern, innovative and safe maternity hospital in Ukraine, will open its doors. The hospital is located in the recreational zone of Kyiv called Puscha-Vodytsia. The volumes of investments into the project totaled 17 million dollars, including 5 million dollars spent on procurement of medical equipment. Fifty percent of the investments were covered with the loans from Ukrainian banks. The maternity hospital is ready to perform up to 2500 deliveries a year. In order to develop the design and the concept of Maternity Hospital LELEKA, the best world experience of similar institutions was used as well as understanding of the need to introduce powerful medical science. People come to a maternity hospital in EXPECTATION OF HAPPINESS. We did everything possible to create a special atmosphere of expectation of joy, comfort, trust, and safety in LELEKA. We believe that our maternity hospital will be a hospital to which one would like to return again and again, however paradoxical it may sound at a first glance. On the area of 8,300 m2 there is an obstetric department, pathologic pregnancy department, surgery department, outpatient department for pregnancy monitoring, neonatal intensive care department, a restaurant, and utility rooms. The objectives of Maternity Hospital LELEKA are to be the best example of a medical institution in Ukraine and enjoy a high level of trust, offering high-quality medical assistance, safety, and exclusive service. In the future, we see Maternity Hospital LELEKA not only as the best obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology institution in Ukraine but also as a place for doctors’ training. In order to develop and fulfill the identified tasks, we invited the leading specialists in obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology with many years of work experience. The majority of these specialists have a scientific degree and the highest qualification category. All departments of Maternity Hospital LELEKA have modern, innovative, safe and precise equipment. We have unique equipment and systems that were brought to Ukraine for the first time. All delivery rooms are equipped with modern fetal monitors that enable us to control the fetus’ condition both during pregnancy and immediately before and during delivery. In Maternity Hospital LELEKA, fetal monitors are united into a centralized system, which helps an obstetrician-gynecologist to constantly receive remote information about the fetus’ condition and make important decisions about the further tactics without even having to stand next to a pregnant woman. We are launching an electronic system of baby protection. In the case of an unsanctioned attempt to carry the baby out of the maternity hospital, an alarm system and the door-locking device will be activated. All mothers will be offered to wear a special bracelet, which firmly “ties” the mother and the baby together. The experience of our doctors and the use of modern equipment in our work will make it possible to diagnose a patient quickly and correctly, provide permanent monitoring and quality treatment. Obstetric services in LELEKA are a combination of a high level of technical equipment, doctors’ experience, comfortable stay in homelike environment, and creation of comfortable psycho-emotional conditions. The obstetrics department of the maternity hospital has 15 “standard” wards, 8 “Deluxe” wards, and 7 “VIP” wards. Each ward in Maternity Hospital LELEKA is equipped with a staff call system in accordance with the European standards, which enables us to promptly provide necessary assistance and to monitor the quality of work of medical staff. In some countries, availability of this system is not a recommended but a mandatory component of each medical institution. We are the first hospital that offers the VIP segment in the sphere of obstetric services of Ukraine.
