Plastics-Ukraine accuses Kyivdorservice of discrimination during procurement

KYIV. Jan 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Municipal enterprise Kyivdorservice conducts tenders in violation of competition, while its representatives threatened the employees of Plastics-Ukraine LLC trying to participate in tenders, a Plastics-Ukraine representative has stated.

"Kyivdorservice conducts discriminatory tenders, and we demand equal competition," Plastics-Ukraine Director General Ireneusz Derek said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the company took part in three tenders from Kyivdorservice for the purchase of film for the manufacture of traffic signs, and all three times submitted the best price offer, however each time Kyivdorservice refused them.

Derek noted that in the current situation Plastics-Ukraine three times appealed to the Antimonopoly Committee, which each time confirmed the validity of the complaint.

The company director explained that the first time the offer of Plastics-Ukraine was discarded because the extract from the state register of companies did not correspond to the required form of certificate, while Geoinformation Systems of Ukraine won the tender with an offer of UAH 998,000, which is UAH 350,000 exceeded the company's price.

Plastics-Ukraine LLC (Kyiv) is part of Plastics Group and has been operating in the Ukrainian market for over 20 years. The company is engaged in distribution of polymer materials from European and international manufacturers. According to the company, its turnover in 2017 increased by 24.4%, to UAH 872,760. The number of employees is 214 people.

Kyivdorservice is engaged in servicing land transport.
