UIA adjusts forecast for passenger transportation in 2017, increasing it by 11%

KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv), the country's largest airline, has adjusted its forecast of passenger transportation in 2017, increasing it from 7 million passengers, as predicted earlier, to 7.8 million passengers.

"The company transported 6 million passengers in 2016. We plan to transport 7.8 million passengers in 2017... Over the past year 2.66 million passengers departed from Boryspil airport, and this year we plan to send 3.3 million passengers," UIA President Yuriy Miroshnikov said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

As reported, UIA from May 12, 2017 introduced low-cost rates for domestic and international flights of tickets are formalized ten, eight or six months prior to the flight. If tickets are booked ten months before the flight, the cost of a one way ticket in Ukraine will be UAH 248, for flights lasting up to two hours some UAH 587, for flights of up to three hours some UAH 822, and for flights longer than three hours some UAH 1,087.
