KYIV. Oct 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A conference on the development and regulation of gambling business in Ukraine will be held at Hilton hotel (30 Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard) in Kyiv on October 13-14, organizer of the Game ON industry initiative for the return of gambling business to Ukraine Glyn Thomas has said.

"Next week we'll organize the event aimed at gathering international community representatives in Kyiv and enabling the government to get acquainted with the best experience in the gambling industry," he said at the press conference "The return of gambling business to Ukraine: preconditions and requirements" at Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, First Deputy Justice Minister of Ukraine Natalia Sevostyanova, Deputy Finance Minister Olena Makeyeva confirmed their participation in the conference, while the initiator of the event was Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk.

"The event is held under the initiative of the prime minister who advocated the return of gambling industry to the country, taking into account the best international standards. We were assured that the government is interested in such an event and will participate in it," the expert said.

He added that the main topics for discussion at the conference will be the issues of legislative regulation of the gambling industry in Ukraine and its taxation, the strategic development of the sector, taking into account international experience, as well as the issues of attracting investors and protection of their rights.
