Kyivenergo cuts debt to Naftogaz to UAH 1.2 bln

Kyiv, October 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) - PJSC Kyivenergo has reduced its debt for gas to National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy to UAH 1.2 billion, company CFO Tetiana Hriaznova has said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

"As of October 1, the debt of Kyivenergo for gas [to Naftogaz Ukrainy] is UAH 1.2 billion, for the three months it decreased by UAH 1.3 billion. The debts of all budgetary organizations, namely the national and local budgets for heat [to Kyivenergo], is UAH 1.6 billion (reduced by UAH 1.3 billion). At the same time, the debt for compensation for difference in tariffs still stands at UAH 288 million, the debt of the national and local budgets for heat remains unpaid at the level of UAH 385 million, the debts of housing organizations for heat remain at the level of UAH 900 million," she said.

Hriaznova noted that part of the money was transferred to Naftogaz Ukrainy the day before.

"For budgetary organizations to pay for heat the cabinet made resolution No. 452, which allocated UAH 1.8 billion to the city of Kyiv to carry out the functions of the capital, UAH 365 million of them were yesterday paid for heat and debts for gas were repaid. The following amount of UAH 450 million is to be repaid for heat and hence for gas next week," she said.
