Bank National Credit gets control over Lira-2000 seized by raiders – company co-founder

Kyiv, September 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Lira-2000, a company captured by raiders, which owns a building at 1 Dniprovsky Descent, having acted a guarantor of a loan, got into financial dependence on Bank National Credit (Kyiv), the co-founder of the company and ex-wife of former chief architect of Kyiv Serhiy Babushkin, Olha Solonevych, has said.

"In fact, Bank National Credit got the opportunity to influence the activities of Lira-2000 through economic relations. The bank issued a loan of UAH 26 million to Ukrschebbud LLC (Kyiv), whose charter capital is only UAH 20,000, and which has only one shareholder. Lira-2000, which, according to the known information, is not related to Ukrschebbud, acted as a guarantor on the credit agreement," the partner of Vasil Kisil and Partners law firm and the lawyer of Olha Solonevych, Andriy Stelmaschuk, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Stelmaschuk, the loan could be granted solely for the purpose of creating financial obligations of Lira-2000 to Bank National Credit.

He also noted that the bank has already filed a claim against Lira-2000 to recover UAH 26 million issued to Ukrschebbud.
