Kyiv, November 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A presentation of a documentary entitled "Babyn Yar. Last Witnesses" took place at Interfax-Ukraine agency in Kyiv on Tuesday.

"The film was prepared on the basis of unique testimony shot this summer from still living witnesses of the tragedy. And we would like, first of all, to show the tragedy of Babyn Yar, which the whole world knows about, but which is, we think, not sufficiently well known about," said the director of Russia's Historical Memory Foundation, Aleksandr Dyukov.

According to producer Sergey Golovchenko, a half a year was spent making the film, which lasts 27 minutes. "Babyn Yar. Last Witnesses" was shot with the support of the Historical Memory Foundation.

The documentary is based on testimony given by three surviving witnesses of the massacre in Babyn Yar, and it also gives statistics on the number of its victims.

The film will be broadcast on several regional Russian TV channels, Dyukov said.
