Disc with 'heartbreaking songs' of the 1980s by Kyiv mayor to be released in a week
Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky is planning to release a disc with popular songs of the 1980s sung by him.
"Yes, I will release a disc. It will be released within a week," he said on Wednesday.
"Now, I am agreeing all of the issues with the performers of these very popular and good songs of the 1980s, because everything has to be calculated. I don't like paying more than necessary," Chernovetsky said.
He said that "very heartbreaking songs" would be recorded on the disc.
"I sing them any worse - better than their performers. However, I can't be compared with [singer Vladimir] Vysotsky. I sing his song very well. But of course, this is a great man. The way he sings, in my opinion, is not him, but God," Chernovetsky said.
