Yuschenko expresses concern over situation with Artek children's center
Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has sent a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko expressing deep concern over the situation in the Artek international children's center in Crimea, the presidential press service reported.
The president said he is worried not only about the failure to fulfill his decree about the functioning and development of the Artek international children's center dated November 27, 2007.
"I am worried about the social reaction to mass media reports, in particular those about the Ukrainian government pushing the Artek center to bankruptcy with the aim to sell its property to private investors," Yuschenko said in the letter.
The head of Ukrainian state said that such a situation is unacceptable.
The president has asked the government to take steps to bring Artek's operations back to normal and to guarantee that his resolution is implemented in full.
The premier is to report personally to the president about the work done, the letter reads.
