Donbas law submitted for Poroshenko's signature – Rada's website

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, has signed the law adopted earlier by the parliament on the peculiarities of the state policy on securing the state sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and sent it to the president for signature.

"8.02.2018. The law was signed by the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament ... 8.02.2018. The law was submitted for the president's signature," the information on the state of passage of the legislative initiative posted on the parliament's website on Thursday morning, says.

As reported, on January 18, 2018 the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law "On the peculiarities of the state policy to ensure the state sovereignty of Ukraine in temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions," which, in particular, recognizes the Russian Federation as an aggressor state. The document specifies that the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, regardless of its duration, is illegal and does not create for the Russian Federation any territorial rights.
