Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the police, have blocked in Pavlohrad (Dnipropetrovsk region) the receipt of arms and ammunition from the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas, the SBU's press center has reported.

"Law enforcers established that a local resident kept in his apartment an impressive arsenal of weapons that were used for criminal purposes. He received weapons from his acquaintances who systematically visited ATO areas," reads the report.

During the search of his apartment, SBU operatives seized three Kalashnikov assault rifles, a hunting rifle, five F-1, RGD-5 and RGN grenades with fuses, a TNT, 500 rounds of various caliber and a silencer.

The detainee was declared suspected of committing the crime, and a preventive measure in the form of detention was selected.
