Kyiv Administrative Appeals Court denies Saakashvili's motion to change judge panel, case resumes Feb 1

Kyiv Administrative Appeals Court has denied a motion by ex-President of Georgia and leader of Movement of New Forces political party Mikheil Saakashvili to change the panel of judges presiding over the case on whether he needs added defense.

The judge panel led by Vitaliy Faydiuk refused the request.

The decision means a panel of judges of the appeals court led by Andriy Korotkykh, which began hearing the appeal of the ruling handed down by the Territorial Administrative Court of Kyiv that refused to recognize as illegitimate the decision of the State Migration Service in Kyiv on the Saakashvili's status in Ukraine, will hear the appeal.

The next hearing is scheduled for February 1 at 10:00.
