Rada allows foreign military to take part in Ukraine's drills - 235 affirmative votes

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported draft law No. 7428 on admission of units of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2018 to participate in multinational exercises.

Some 235 people's deputies voted to support the bill at a meeting on Thursday, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

Before the vote, the deputies supported the consideration of the bill on a shortened procedure.

As reported, bill No. 7428 was introduced by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the Verkhovna Rada on December 21, 2017.

According to the document, in Ukraine, it is planned to conduct the following multinational exercises for the training of the armed forces: the Ukrainian-American exercises Rapid Trident 2018, the Ukrainian-American exercises Sea Breeze 2018, the multinational exercises Light Avalanche 2018, the multinational exercises Clear Sky 2018, and the Ukrainian-Romanian exercises Riverian 2018.
