Ukraine, Georgia to coordinate efforts within international organizations

Ukraine and Georgia plan to coordinate their efforts within international organizations, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers has reported, following a meeting between Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Georgian Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze in Kyiv.

"The participants in the talks agreed that the protection of territorial integrity and political stability is a key value for both states. Therefore, the coordination of efforts within the UN, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, GUAM and at the inter-parliamentary level is an important element of friendship and cooperation," the report says.

Groysman thanked Georgia for constant support provided to Ukraine.

He said that trade between the two states was constantly growing.

"Joint international projects, especially the New Silk Road, aimed at developing the logistics capabilities of both countries, have great potential," reads the report.

Kobakhidze, in turn, noted that a common goal for Ukraine and Georgia was integration into NATO and the European Union.

"It is also interesting for us to cooperate with China and increase joint transit opportunities. This is the foundation for the development of our bilateral relations," he said.
