Tymoshenko asks to release Saakashvili against her guarantees

Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko has said she is willing to take New Forces Movement Party leader and former Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili "into her custody," Baktivschyna Party parliament deputy Alona Shkrum has said.

"Yulia Volodymyrivna is ready to take Mikheil Saakashvili into her custody. 'With the aim of re-educating,' Saakashvili added and laughed," Shkrum, who is in Kyiv's Pechersky District Court at hearings about pretrial detention for Saakashvili, said on Facebook on Monday, December 11.

The press service for the New Forces Movement, citing parliament MP Yuriy Derevianko, earlier said MPs Viktor Chumak, Alona Shkrum, Vitaliy Kupryi, Nataliya Novak, Dmytro Dobrodomov, Oleksandr Opanasenko, Pavlo Kostenko, Yehor Sobolev, Ivan Krulko, Oleksiy Riabchin, Derevianko and others had also offered to take Saakashvili into their custody.
