Saakashvili submits complaint to NABU against PGO, SBU heads

Leader of the New Forces Movement party, ex-head of Odesa regional state administration, former Georgian president, Mikheil Saakashvili, has filed a motion to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) about the commission of the crime by a group of people led by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Hrytsak.

According to the party's press service, the motion reads that by personal instructions of Lutsenko and Hrytsak, as well as his deputies Pavlo Demchyna and Viktor Kononenko, "a number of criminal offenses are committed against my allies, using the official position, contrary to the interests of the service, which inflicts substantial harm to the rights protected by law, freedoms and interests - mine and my friends, including citizens of Georgia - and the public interest."

The leader of the New Forces Movement said in his statement that the actions of a number of officials of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Migration Service, the State Border Guard Service and the State Guard Department, carry signs of crimes on the basis of the Criminal Offense under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power and official position). And as a whole, the actions described in the complaint "testify to the commission of a crime" under Article 255 of the Criminal Code (the creation of a criminal organization for the commission of a serious or especially serious crime)."

In connection with the above, Saakashvili asks the NABU to accept his complaint, enter information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations and immediately start a pretrial investigation.
