NABU agents Sikorska, Tytenkov called in for questioning to PGO

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has summoned for questioning agents of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Kateryna Sikorska and Serhiy Tytenkov, who are listed in criminal proceedings on provoking a bribe to an employee of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

"NABU agents Kateryna Sikorska and Serhiy Tytenkov have been invited to the Prosecutor General's Office for interrogation. They will be asked a number of questions concerning the recent joint special operation by the PGO and the SBU, in which the abovementioned persons were involved," PGO spokesman Andriy Lysenko said on Monday.

He noted that it will be found out during the interrogation how these agents were appointed to the posts if they did not pass an open competition, which is required by the law on the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

"There are also questions about Sikorska and Tytenkov's access to state secrets, because documents classified as secret were found with them. The legality of the use of special equipment by detectives, which is not registered in the SBU, will also be of interest to investigators," Lysenko added.
