Defense minister presents awards to over 200 servicemen in Donbas

KYIV. Nov 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) - About 1,100 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who perform tasks in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas, will get awards ahead of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Day, which is marked on December 6, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.

Such a decision was announced by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, who was on a working visit in the ATO zone in Donbas on Saturday, November 25.

He also handed awards to the commander of a brigade, whose servicemen perform combat tasks in Luhansk region, as well as the commander of an artillery group and the commander of an assault battalion.

"In addition, under the decision of the Ukrainian defense minister, awards were presented to more than 200 servicemen from different divisions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are serving in the area of the anti-terrorist operation," the report says.
