National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov has said a new technological line for producing base frames for weapons systems will be used for the entire range of Ukraine's multiple-rocket launching vehicles.

"This production line will produce the full range of base frames for all our rocket launching systems, starting from 300mm and lower," Turchynov told journalists in Kyiv on Friday.

"We have filled the production gap that appeared after 2014 for servicing multiple-rocket launchers. This is especially important for us after losing a significant amount of ammunition [when munitions dumps were blown up]," he said, adding that Ukrainian armed forces are experiencing shortages of large caliber shells.

"Our military industrial enterprises have been tasked with producing all types of ammunition used by Ukraine's armed forces," Turchynov said.
