The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the rules for keeping the unified register of flowmeters and level gauges for enterprises participating in the fuel flow.

The decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday.

The rules for keeping the register are adopted for the practical implementation of the requirements of the Tax Code of Ukraine, which stipulates that from 2018, all enterprises engaged in the production, storage of fuel and trade in it must equip their tanks with flowmeters and level gauges. The data from the metering devices are sent daily to the supervision agencies. This should reduce the amount of the shadow flow of fuel.

According to the decision of the government, at the initial stage, the data from the metering devices can be entered into the register manually, and in the future only in the automatic mode. Automatic entering of data will be mandatory for tanks with a volume of more than 20,000 cubic meters from July 1, 2018, with a volume of 1,000-20,000 cubic meters from 1 January 2019, and less than 1,000 cubic meters from July 1, 2019.
