Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko together with his wife Mariyna have donated UAH 3 million for an organization to arrange a competition for creating the National memorial complex Heavenly Hundred Heroes – Revolution of Dignity Museum.

The president's press service said in addition to the funds a memorandum was signed with Ukraine's Culture Ministry, Hossbach Lehmhaus GbR and Poroshenko's philanthropic organization. The Ministry of Culture, as the organizer of the competition, has outsourced the project to Hossbach Lehmhaus GbR.

"I hope that the high professionalism of Benjamin Hossbach, managing partner of Hossback Lehmhaus GbR and his firm will allow us to create the museum and Heavenly Hundred memorial, which will be worthy of our heroes… Finally, we are here for the start of the official work for conducting a competition for the best project," Poroshenko said.

More than 65 proposals from 12 countries have already been received. The first stage of the competition is scheduled to end in February 2018.

Hossbach said it is a great honor for him to contribute to a project of such importance to Ukraine. He said 66 proposals have already been received, including from Ukrainian architects. He said he hoped the memorial design would be chosen in February and the museum project during the summer of 2018.
